Apprenticeships provide an excellent opportunity to gain valuable hands-on experience within a real work environment. By starting work and earning a wage from day one, you can simultaneously work towards a nationally recognised qualification while developing the essential skills, knowledge, and behaviours needed to support your future career.

Preston College is proud to be one of the largest apprenticeship providers in the local area, training hundreds of apprentices every year. With sector-specialist staff and industry-standard facilities, Preston College offers an engaging and supportive learning environment where apprentices can thrive.

Our commitment is to make every apprentice as employable as possible. According to the latest Government statistics from 2023, 98% of apprentices reported that their ability to perform their job had improved significantly during their apprenticeship. Additionally, 94% stated that their career prospects had brightened as a direct result of their training. Importantly, over 90% of apprentices go on to secure employment or continue further training after completing their programme.

We maintain strong partnerships with more than 1,000 employers across the region, ranging from small and medium-sized businesses, to large corporate organisations. These employer relationships ensure that our apprenticeship programmes are relevant, up-to-date, and of the highest quality, providing apprentices with the best possible start to your career.
